31^st Fungal Genetics Conference

While we all continue to face the challenges of COVID-19, we are reaching out to you, hoping you are safe, healthy, and managing this past year as best possible in your personal and professional lives. The dynamics of this pandemic have been, at times, unpredictable, but the expanding availability of vaccines gives hope for resuming more and more of our in-person scientific activities. One of them, which may still appear remote, is our fungal genetics meeting at Asilomar a year from now. Time will tell what the nature of our next meeting will be, but we urge you to mark March 15–20, 2022 on your calendars. We have all learned to navigate our scientific lives with minimal travel, yet we believe that the various substitutes we have utilized cannot fully compensate or replace actual meetings, with the critically important ad hoc interactions (and, of course, Asilomar cuisine…).
