The information will be sent to the scientific organizers for final approval before being added to the schedule.Pre-meeting workshop organizers are responsible for coordinating all aspects of the program, including speaker presentations. The final program information must be received by January 6, 2026 to be included on the website and in the Program Book.

We aim to celebrate the diversity of the fungal kingdom by bringing together people from all biological fields with an interest in the non-dikarya fungal phyla (Mucoromycota, Glomeromycota, Chytridiomycota, Blastocladiomycota, and many others), the Zygosporic and Zoosporic Fungi (aka the ZygoZoo). We are very much looking forward to a day of talks and lively discussions on all the new developments in this versatile group of fungi, encompassing all aspects of genetics, genomics, ecology, host-fungal interactions, endosymbiosis, antifungal drug resistance, physiology, and secondary metabolism.

We invite the Fusarium community to discuss latest updates on our favorite fungal genus. Fusarium is one of the species-richest groups of fungi, encompassing plant fitness-promoting endophytes, devastating plant pathogens, and also severe opportunistic human pathogens. Additionally, Fusarium species are of great interest as potent mycotoxin/natural products producers. There is a check box on the Fungal Genetics Conference abstract submission site to indicate that you would like the abstract to also be considered for #Fusariumworkshop. If you wish to submit an abstract for #Fusariumworkshop that is NOT going to be presented at the Fungal Genetics Conference, please submit via email to lijun@umass.edu. The general abstract submission guidelines apply.
