In 2011, GSA teamed up with the International Mammalian Genetics Society (IMGS) and the Complex Traits Community to host the first Mouse Genetics Conference in Washington, DC. The meeting featured plenary sessions focused on disease models, preclinical translation, systems genetics, and large scale resources for the community. In 2012, GSA hosted the Mouse Molecular Genetics (MMG) conference at the Asilomar conference grounds in Pacific Grove, California, with plenary sessions in topics ranging from development to models of human disease. Mouse Molecular Genetics convened again at Asilomar in fall 2014. In 2016, the MMG Conference joined up with IMGS for the Mouse Genetics Conference held as part of The Allied Genetics Conference (TAGC) in Orlando, Florida. In 2020, GSA will again join with the IMGS in including the mammalian genetics community in TAGC at National Harbor, in the Washington DC Metro area.
