Meals and breaks 

UC Davis offers a variety of dining options for meeting attendees. The following restaurants and cafes will be available June 28–July 2 during the conference: 

  • Segundo Dining Commons serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day
  • Tercero Market open 9:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. every day
  • Scrubs Café in the Health Sciences District open weekdays, serving coffee 8:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., and the “weigh-and-pay” grill and hot/cold bar available 11:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Its menu changes daily.
  • Spokes Grill at the Silo open weekdays 10:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. 
  • Peet’s Coffee at the Silo open weekdays 7:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
  • Peet’s Coffee at the ARC and King Hall Coffee open weekdays 8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
  • Food trucks are scheduled to be at the Silo Patio each weekday. 

Lunch Plan

For those staying in hotels, a lunch package at the university cafeteria is available for lunch Sunday, Monday and Tuesday for $59. The lunch package had to be purchased via the Housing Reservation Site by May 28.

Accessibility 

The University of California, Davis campus is accessible for people with disabilities. View more information regarding accessibility on the university website, including a map showing locations of accessible and power-assist entryways in campus buildings.

If you have difficulty walking long distances, consider renting a scooter from Scoot Around. They will deliver your scooter to your hotel and pick it up when you no longer need it. For more details, visit www.scootaround.com or call 888-441-7575.

 

Arboretum

The campus offers many scenic, green areas attendees can enjoy during meals, sitting on a bench or eating picnic-style with other attendees while making connections. You can also stroll around the Arboretum during breaks or look at the beautiful and unique sculptures displayed around campus. An extended lunch break will allow for more in-depth networking as well as time to enjoy nature and decompress.

Davis is one of four cities that make up Yolo County, offering a variety of activities and entertainment. Visitors can enjoy the city’s vibrant arts and dining scenes or explore nearby cities for even more fun. Whether you’re looking for exciting attractions, cultural experiences, or curated itineraries for a full getaway, you’ll find plenty of options here

The UCD-Guest Wireless Network that UC Davis provides is for visitors on campus.

How to Create a UCD-Guest Account

Note: If you have already created a UCD-Guest Account, you can skip this and go directly to the How to Connect to UCD-Guest section.

  1. Open the available wireless network list on your computer or device.
  2. Choose UCD-Guest.
  3. If available for your OS, select Connect Automatically.
  4. Click Connect.
  5. The UCD-Guest Registration/Login page should open automatically. If it does not, open a web browser and navigate to a website – this should make it appear.
  6. Click on Create a UCD-Guest Account.
  7. Enter your name, a valid mobile phone number (one that can accept text messages), and a valid email address.
    Note: If you do not have a mobile phone number that can accept text messages, you can leave the phone number field blank and the password will be emailed to your email address.
  8. Read and accept the terms of use.
  9. Click Register.

After the above steps are completed, the system will send both a text message and an email to the contacts you provided with your username and password information. In all cases, your username will be your full email address and the password is a series of 8 digits.

How to Connect to UCD-Guest

  1. Open the available wireless network list on your computer or device.
  2. Choose UCD-Guest.
  3. If available for your OS, select Connect Automatically.
  4. Click Connect.
  5. The UCD-Guest Registration/Login page should open automatically. If it does not, open a web browser and navigate to a website – The login page should appear.
  6. Choose Login with an existing account. If you have not already done so, you will first need to create a UCD-Guest account.
  7. Enter your UCD-Guest username (the email address used to create the UCD-Guest account).
  8. Enter your UCD-Guest password (the 8 digit password you received via text message or email when creating your UCD-Guest account).
  9. Click Login. Please note that it may take some time for the login process to complete when connecting for the first time.
