You will need to log in to the App using your registration badge ID number and last name. Your badge number is listed in your registration confirmation email, which was sent from the address NoReply@Convention-Mail.com. You will also receive an informational email with your badge number from society@genetics-gsa.org on March 9 and and a reminder email on March 14.
If you are having trouble logging in, check the technology FAQs for step-by-step instructions.
We recommend you build your schedule in the App before the meeting starts:
Only the Plenary Sessions will be streamed live, while Concurrent Sessions will be available as recordings within 24 hours of the session time. Click on your session of interest in the Agenda or My Schedule tab. At the scheduled start time for Plenary Sessions, a “Join Webinar” button (see screenshot below) will appear in the session detail pane if you are logged in. Click the button to launch the webinar. If you see the “Log in for status info” button instead, simply click and log in using your registration badge ID number and last name. Your badge number is listed in your registration confirmation email, which was sent from the address NoReply@Convention-Mail.com.
Session recordings will be available via the Conference App around 24 hours after each session ends via the session listing and will be available to view online until April 8, 2022. The “View Recording” button will be visible in the same position as the “Join Webinar” button. If you see the “Log in for status info” button instead, simply click and log in using your registration badge ID number and last name. Your badge number is listed in your registration confirmation email, which was sent from the address NoReply@Convention-Mail.com.
Some Concurrent Sessions from Wednesday, March 16 and Thursday, March 17 will show “Virtual Session Closed” instead of the “View Recording Button,” but recordings of these sessions are available. At the bottom of the session listing, you will see “Click for recording of [Session Name].”
This applies to the following sessions:
You can send your questions for Plenary speakers through the Zoom Q&A window to the session chair. If there is time, the chair will select questions to ask the presenter.
If you think of a question after a Plenary Session has ended or you have a question for a Concurrent presenter, you can leave your question as a comment within the Conference App. Find the listing for the talk of interest within the App, then scroll to right before the speaker list and click on “Contact the speakers for this session”. All the speakers in the session will receive an email with your question. You can also scroll all the way to the bottom until you see the “Join the Discussion” section. The author will be able to reply to your question directly in the App. Also, on the mobile app, in the Attendee List, click on a speaker’s name and on the upper left hand corner is a “Chat” feature where you can send a direct message.
Deaf Ear Scientists has created a list of different speech-to-text software options for desktop and mobile use.
When you register for the conference you agree to abide by the GSA Conferences Code of Conduct. Our Code of Conduct was established to communicate a transparent set of standards and guidelines for acceptable behavior at GSA Conferences and to provide a positive, safe, and welcoming environment for all attendees. All sessions will be moderated for disruptive behavior.
