In 2027, the 68th Annual Drosophila Conference will be returning to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for the first time since 2018 when there were over 1,500 attendees. In 2026, 44% of the registrants were first time attendees, so even if you participated in the past, you will be reaching new prospects.  The boutique size exhibit hall of 25 booths along with 700 posters being presented guarantees traffic. Dros 2027 covers the full diversity of Drosophila investigations including genetics, molecular biology, cell biology, development, neuroscience, gene editing, evolution, and beyond. Booth Fees and the floor plan will be available in July 2026.

All services, such as electrical, furniture rental and audio visual equipment, will be handled through the decorator. Exhibitors will receive an email with a dedicated link to the Service Kit on November 10.

GSA and Dros 2027 are not affiliated with these companies. Typically they are trying to gain access to your credit card information. Do not respond to their emails.

Marketing Opportunities

Get your message out to the attendees by placing an ad in the Conference App, Program Book or Abstract Book. The Program Book and Abstract Book will be available online as a PDF file for all attendees to reference throughout the conference.

Mobile App and Online Planner Banner Ad – $1,500 (3 available) (No increase from 2026!)

Display your custom advertising on a banner Ad on the mobile app and online planner. The App and online planner were downloaded over 2,100 times in 2026. Your ad will rotate with the other ads, every time the attendees log on.

Know Before You Go email – $2,500 

Promote your company with a banner ad (including your URL) in every attendee’s “Know Before You Go” email. With an open email rate of over 85%) you can connect with attendees before they  arrive at the conference (placement will be in the middle of the email.)

New this year – Ad in GSA eNews – $1,800

Include an ad in GSA eNews that is sent to over 23,000 emails. The Ad will be placed in the dedicated Conference section (see 2026 sample below). Let the community know how you can help them in their research.

New this year – Company slide in the Coffee break Rotating Slide Deck – $1,200

Promote your company during the 30 minute coffee breaks throughout the conference by having a slide in the rotating slide deck. It will display along with the conference slides announcing GSA Awards,GSA Journals and housekeeping items (typically 40-50 slides).

Program Book or Abstract Book

The Program Book and Abstract Book were both downloaded over 600 times  in 2026. Take advantage of the opportunity to promote your company to all the attendees with a book that they will reference throughout the meeting and beyond.

In addition to the acknowledgements listed above the sponsorship includes:

  • Branded item give-away – $1,000 – Your branded item will be distributed to each attendee when they arrive at registration. Item must be provided by the sponsor and shipped directly to the decorator.
  • Registration Fee Waivers Sponsor – priceless –  to support participation from low- and middle-income countries, companies can sponsor registration fee waivers

Terms and Conditions

Exhibitor agrees to comply with the terms of the Exhibitor Agreement and with the Rules and Guidelines for Exhibiting which are incorporated in the Agreement. Please note that union rules for this show must be followed. See the service kit for additional information. The Exhibitor further agrees that GSA may terminate Exhibitor’s license to use exhibit space, without refund, if Exhibitor, after notice, shall fail to immediately cure any violation of the Rules.
