All rates are per room, per night, and do not include state, local, and occupancy taxes (currently 15.75% per room, per night). Maximum occupancy per room is four people.
To reserve a hotel room, you may either make your reservations online at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown site or by calling the hotel directly at. Please note that reservations will be accepted only when accompanied by a credit card guarantee or a deposit of the first night’s room and tax.
The deadline to reserve a room is January 21, 2027. When contacting the hotel by telephone, identify yourself as an attendee of the 68th Annual Drosophila Research Conference.
Room Reservation Guarantee and Cancellation
Room reservation fees are fully refundable. However, you must cancel your reservation at least 72 hours prior to your scheduled arrival date and time to receive a credit or refund of the required first night’s room and tax deposit.
Discounted Student Rooms
A limited number of rooms are available at the conference hotel for students with a financial need. The discounted rate of $105 single/double can be accessed by completing this application.
- You must be an undergraduate or graduate student
- You must be registered for #Dros27 and provide your badge number
- You must have a submitted abstract and provide your abstract number
- One discounted room per lab
The link for the discounted rooms will be made available, based on availability, to those who complete the application, by 8:00 p.m. EST on December 15, 2026. The code is not transferable, and your reservation must be made within 48 hours of receipt. Requests will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Availability of the student rate is limited and rooms may fill up prior to the December 15, 2026 deadline so you are encouraged to register and complete the application as soon as you know you will be attending the meeting.

The Marriott Philadelphia Downtown is handicap accessible; guests should advise the hotel of accessibility needs as far in advance as possible. Every effort will be made to accommodate your needs.
