You can easily add another attendee’s contact information following these steps:

1. On the Home page tap My Contacts
2. On the Contact page click on Scan Contact Code at the top of the phone
3. The person’s first name, last name, affiliation and email address will populate
4. Tap Done
5. On the Menu bar, tap on Export Contacts
6. Click Send and the list will be sent to your email address

If you’re using the Desktop App:
Click “Login” on the right hand side.

If you’re using the Mobile App:
Tap the “More” tab at the bottom of the screen, then select “Login Settings”.

The login screen will appear. Submit your registration badge ID number (top field) and last name (bottom field). Your last name must match your conference registration record.

Your badge ID number is listed in your registration confirmation email, which was sent from the address NoReply@Convention-Mail.com.

If you receive an error after entering your badge number and last name:

• Make sure you entered your badge number in the top field and last name in the bottom (password) field.
• Make sure your last name is spelled the same as in your registration record.
• Make sure all capitalization is the same as in your registration record.
• Make sure your badge number is the same as in your registration confirmation email.

If all those details are correct and you still can’t log in, please contact gsaconferences@genetics-gsa.org.

The Desktop and Mobile App will sync whenever you log in. That means you could, for example, build your schedule on your mobile device using the Mobile App and then view sessions on your computer using the Desktop App or vice versa.

Check the App page and the App Knowledge Base. If you are unable to resolve the problem, please email gsaconferences@genetics-gsa.org with your question.

You must register for the conference, log in to the App, and then search for the keynote session. Three minutes before the session starts, a “Join Webinar” or “Join Virtual Session” button will become available at the top of the session detail pane. Click or tap the button to launch the Zoom session.

If instead of the “Join Webinar” button you see the “Log in for status info” button, simply click and log in using your registration badge ID number and last name.

First, make sure you are logged in.

If you are already logged in, you may need to close and refresh the detail pane of your chosen session before you will see the “Join Webinar” button.

Note that sessions should open about two minutes before the scheduled start time, but occasionally technical difficulties may delay the broadcast by a few minutes.

This sometimes happens when you are using the “My Schedule” tab and click a session that you have not added to your personal schedule. Switch to the “Agenda” tab and then search for your session. Click on the relevant session to find the “Join Webinar” button.

Note that you will be able to live-stream keynotes, but all abstract driven sessions will be recorded and available for viewing in the app.

If you have used the App to attend other sessions or talks and had no sound issues, then it could be an issue with your internet connectivity or with the presenter’s audio or internet. If you suspect it is an issue with the presenter, you can report the issue to gsaconferences@genetics-gsa.org.

To launch the Zoom window within the App into full screen mode, click the full screen icon at the top right.

In Safari and Firefox browsers, you can force the webinar screen to open in a new window by right-clicking on the full screen icon and selecting “Open frame in a new tab.”

No. Your webcam and microphone will be automatically turned off when you join the live keynote session as an attendee.

For many of the workshop sessions, you are encouraged to share your webcam to facilitate discussion.

No, you can’t view two sessions at once.

Recordings of abstract-driven oral presentations will typically be available in the App around 24 hours after the conference ends. You must be logged in to view the recordings. Recordings are only available for 30 days after the conference.

Workshops will not be recorded.
