Vote for Board Members
The GSA is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors made up of scientists from our community. Each year, GSA members have the opportunity to nominate and elect new Directors and Officers. When the nomination or election period opens, members will receive their individual election ballot via email.
How to Nominate
GSA members can nominate themselves or colleagues for positions on the Board. Nominations are considered by the Nominating Committee when preparing the election ballot.
All GSA members will receive a personalized nomination link via email once the nomination period is open. The email sender will be firstname.lastname@example.org. If your membership has lapsed you will not receive the nomination email.
How to Vote
Once the election period is open, each GSA member receives one election ballot via email. The email sender will be email@example.com. If your membership has lapsed, you will not receive the nomination email.
You may only vote once and must use the personalized link in the ballot email. On your ballot, two candidates will run for each Board position to be filled. You must choose your preferred candidate for each position, including the Vice-President (the Vice-President will serve as President in the second year of their term). Candidate statements and biographical information will be available on the ballot.
